The 2023 Asogli Yam Festival's grand durbar saw thousands of attendees gather at the Jubilee Park in , creating a spectacle that included the closure of shops in the regional capital and traffic disruptions.

The event, held on a Saturday morning, featured a long procession of chiefs, leading a massive crowd to the Jubilee Park.

This year's festival holds particular significance as it marks the 20th anniversary of the installation of , drawing numerous dignitaries to the celebration. Among the notable guests was Mr. Kofi Dzamesi, CEO of Bui Power, who represented the Vice President of the Republic.

Ambassadors from various countries, including Barbados, , , , and the , were also in attendance.

The special guest of honor, Dormaahene Osaegyefo Agyeman Badu, was joined by Ewe Chiefs from Ghana, , and .

The event attracted the presence of political party leaders and parliamentarians, resulting in a heavily packed durbar.

To manage the substantial traffic, the police and other security agencies were deployed, while numerous businesses and petty traders seized the opportunity to capitalize on the festive atmosphere around the venue.

The festival featured several cultural troupes delivering impressive displays and acrobatic performances.

The Dormaahene made a grand entrance with an entourage of nearly 100 people, adding to the vibrancy of the celebration.
