DVLA board embarks on nationwide tour to strengthen regional operations

The Board and Management of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority () have initiated a comprehensive tour of the Volta and regions as part of a broader effort to closely monitor and enhance the operations of offices across Ghana. Mr. Francis Asamoah, the Head of Corporate Affairs at DVLA, shared details of the tour during a stop at the Akatsi office in the .

According to Mr. Asamoah, the objective of the tour is to better understand the on-the-ground operations and tackle any emerging challenges directly. This initiative also seeks to foster closer ties with the media to boost awareness of DVLA's services. “We also appreciate the work of the media and the possible collaboration,” he noted, highlighting the role of the press in educating the public on DVLA offerings.

During the visit, Mr. Francis Agbozo, a board member, encouraged local drivers and driving unions to utilize the services provided by the DVLA. He emphasized the importance of media support in raising awareness about the authority's functions within the Municipality.

Mr. Hayford Acheampong, the Manager of the Akatsi DVLA office, expressed confidence in the capability of his team to meet their annual targets and continue delivering exemplary service to the community.

Following their visit to Akatsi, the DVLA delegation plans to proceed to other towns including Denu, , , and , where they will inspect a site earmarked for a new DVLA office. The tour began earlier in and included stops in , , Axim, and . After completing their visits in the region, the team will continue to other parts of the country including , Nkawkaw, and Akim Oda.

This national tour by the DVLA is part of a strategic effort to ensure that all regional offices align with the authority's high standards of service delivery, aiming to make vehicle licensing and registration processes more efficient and accessible to all Ghanaians.
