The Black Stars, four-time African champions, secured qualification for the tournament by topping Group I in the Africa qualifiers, marking Ghana‘s fifth appearance at the global showpiece, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Preparations for the World Cup are already in progress, with Ghana scheduled to face Japan and South Korea in international friendly matches. The team will learn its group-stage opponents when the official draw takes place on December 5, 2025, at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
The funding underscores the government’s commitment to supporting national sports and enhancing Ghana’s competitiveness on the global football stage.
