Ghana coach Otto Addo names 22-man squad for friendlies against Japan and South Korea

Ghana head coach Otto Addo has announced a 22-man squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Japan and South Korea.

The squad features several new call-ups, including Czech Republic-based striker Prince Kwabena Adu, who has impressed with Viktoria Plzen in the Czech top-tier league. He will be joined by CF Montreal forward Prince Osei Owusu and Medeama SC winger Kelvin Nkrumah.

Several key players will be absent, including captain Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, and Mohammed Kudus, as the Black Stars focus on integrating fresh talent and building momentum ahead of the 2026 World Cup. This comes after missing out on the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The team is scheduled to hold its first training session in Nagoya on Wednesday ahead of Friday’s Kirin Cup clash with Japan. They will then travel to Seoul to face South Korea on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
