President Akufo-Addo specifically congratulated the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on their victory in the by-election.

Addressing members of his party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the President urged them to stay positive and resilient. He emphasized that in a democracy, there are winners and losers, and it is essential to keep fighting for future opportunities.

President Akufo-Addo reminded party members that the NPP had previously held the Assin North seat and expressed confidence that the party would regain it in due course.
