Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on Tuesday evening saw off President of the Republic, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, as he departed Ghana for official engagements in the United Arab Emirates and Zambia.
The President is scheduled to participate in the World Governments Summit 2026 in Dubai, a high-level global forum that brings together world leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss governance, development, and emerging global challenges.

Ghana’s participation underscores the country’s commitment to contributing to international dialogue on sustainable development, innovation, and effective governance.
Following the summit, President Mahama will travel to Zambia for a three-day state visit. During the visit, he is expected to engage in bilateral discussions aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between Ghana and Zambia.
A key highlight of the visit will be his address to the Zambian National Assembly, reflecting the strong ties and mutual respect between the two countries.
Vice President Opoku-Agyemang expressed best wishes to the President, wishing him a safe and fruitful journey as he continues to project Ghana’s interests and promote the country on the global stage.
