Hon. Emelia Ankomah – MP for Upper Denkyira East,

Hon. Emelia Ankomah is the Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira East, representing the constituency under the banner of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Born on Sunday, 30th November 1975, and hailing from Denkyira Kyekyewere, she is a committed Christian and first-time legislator.

A legal and governance professional with a robust academic background, Hon. Ankomah holds a BL from the Ghana School of Law (2022) and an LLB from Wisconsin University, Accra (2020). She also earned an Executive MBA (2010) and a BA in Publishing Studies (2002), both from KNUST. Her foundational education includes GCE A’ Level from Boa-Amponsem Secondary School (1996) and GCE O’ Level from the same institution (1994).

She has served in various administrative and managerial capacities, including as Production Manager at Commercial Associates Limited, Scheme Manager at the Akuapem South Mutual Health Insurance Scheme, and Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at the National Health Insurance Authority. Her leadership journey further extended to public service as the Municipal Chief Executive for the Upper Denkyira East Municipal Assembly.

In Parliament, she serves diligently on the Works and Housing Committee and the Subsidiary Legislation Committee.
