
Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye is the Member of Parliament for Bantama, representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP). A native of Maase, he was born on Saturday, 24th September 1977, and is a Christian by faith. He is currently serving in the 8th Parliament of the Fourth Republic.
Hon. Asenso-Boakye holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Planning from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, completed in 2001. He furthered his education at Michigan State University, where he earned a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration in 2005.

Professionally, he has held several high-level government positions, including Deputy Chief of Staff, Minister for Works and Housing, and Minister for Roads and Highways, where he played a pivotal role in infrastructure development and public sector policy.
Within Parliament, he serves as Ranking Member on the Local Government and Rural Development Committee, and is also a member of the Roads and Transportation Committee and the Human Rights Committee, contributing to national policy on governance, infrastructure, and civil liberties.
