Bawumia calls on NPP members to embrace unity and move beyond campaign disagreements

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to set aside differences arising from internal campaigns and work together to strengthen the party ahead of upcoming national challenges.

In a heartfelt address, Dr. Bawumia emphasised that political campaigns, while competitive, should not fracture the bonds of party loyalty and shared purpose.

“Our democracy must never be reduced to personal vendettas or lingering grievances,” he stated, calling for forgiveness and reconciliation among party members who may have felt marginalised during the primaries.

He highlighted the importance of unity, discipline, and collective focus on governance and national development, noting that internal cohesion is critical to delivering on the party’s mandate to Ghanaians.

Dr. Bawumia encouraged senior and junior members alike to engage in constructive dialogue, support one another, and prioritise the greater good over individual disagreements.

Dr.Bawumia further stressed that moving forward with a united front would enhance the NPP’s ability to implement its policy agenda, drive socio-economic progress, and strengthen democratic practices in the country.

Party officials and grassroots members have welcomed the message, recognising it as a timely call for healing and collaboration within the NPP as the political calendar intensifies.

Dr. Bawumia concluded with a reminder that the party’s strength lies in its ability to reconcile differences, uphold democratic principles, and work collectively for Ghana’s prosperity.
