Parliament is gearing up for a crucial public hearing vetting session to assess nominees put forth by President Akufo-Addo for the vacant positions on the Supreme Court bench.
The President, in a letter addressed to the House, has nominated three distinguished justices currently serving on the Court of Appeal for elevation to the esteemed Supreme Court.
The nominated justices awaiting the rigorous vetting process are Henry Anthony Kwofie, Yaw Darko Asare, and Richard Adjei-Frimpong.
The Appointments Committee, under the leadership of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei Owusu, will take charge of overseeing the vetting proceedings and subsequently present a comprehensive report to the plenary for consideration.
