The ‘Bawumia Fun Club,' a group supporting Vice President Dr , has obtained the presidential nomination forms on his behalf.

The founder of the group, Ntim Jakari, expressed their belief that Dr Bawumia should be given the opportunity to lead the New Patriotic Party () and help the party secure victory in the 2024 elections.

The group also paid the GH¢50,000 nomination fee required for the flagbearer hopeful. Mr Jakari, speaking to , highlighted that Dr Bawumia possesses the leadership qualities needed to transform the country if elected as the next President.

“The Bawumia Fun Club decided that we will pay and go and present it to their father and our President to be. He is not aware we are doing this. We are taking him by surprise. After payment, we are going to the to present it to him,” Mr Jakari stated.

On Friday, May 26, the opened nominations for individuals interested in leading the party into the 2024 elections to pick up their nomination forms.

The forms can be obtained from the Office of the General Secretary at the Party Headquarters in Asylum Down, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, according to a statement released by the party.
