NPP directs all MPs to be present in Parliament today

The New Patriotic Party () has called on its 137 Members of (MPs) to be present in for Friday's proceedings following Thursday's events.

On Thursday, after a heated debate on the Appointments Committee report, voting on the President's nominees was scheduled for Friday, at the instance of the Speaker of Parliament.

The , however, has announced that it will reject the President's nominees during the voting on the motion.

In response to this, the has urged all its MPs to attend the proceedings and has instructed the Majority Whips to ensure that no member is absent.

In a statement issued by the General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, the NPP emphasized its commitment to supporting the government and achieving economic transformation for the benefit of Ghanaians.

He stated, “to get Government business accomplished in the supreme interest of the country, the Party is committed to supporting and rallying behind the government in achieving the desired economic transformation for the good people of Ghana.”

It is expected that the voting process will continue on Friday with the possibility of further debate before the final decision is made.
