President John Dramani Mahama has called on the Judiciary to pursue reforms aimed at improving efficiency, embracing appropriate technology and making justice more accessible to all Ghanaians.

Speaking at the swearing-in of three new Justices of the Supreme Court in Accra, President Mahama said public confidence in the Judiciary depends not only on sound court decisions, but also on the conduct of judges, accessibility of the courts and the timely delivery of justice.

He expressed concern over prolonged cases, avoidable adjournments and delays in delivering judgments, warning that such challenges can weaken public confidence and amount to a denial of justice.

President Mahama also urged the Supreme Court to ensure that its judgments are clear and well-reasoned to provide dependable guidance to lower courts, public institutions, legal practitioners and citizens.
