Over the weekend, Kwahu – Ankomah in the Kwahu East District experienced an outpouring of compassion and community support as the Kwahu Professionals Network (KPN) executed its flagship philanthropic project, KPN GIVE BACK, for the fifth time since the network's establishment in 2018.
The series of impactful activities aimed at improving the lives of Kwahu-Ankomah residents included free health screening for over 750 individuals, distribution of sanitary pads, deworming exercises, sex education, and health talks, and the provision of clothes and essential items to those in need.
In a collaborative effort between KPN, its sponsors, and the local community, the event addressed pressing health concerns and offered essential support to the community.
The health screening, a vital component of KPN GIVE BACK, provided over 250 children and 500 adults with immediate medical attention when needed, promoting a healthier community.
A deworming exercise, focused on improving the overall quality of life, particularly for children, was also conducted.
Mr. Simeon Kwabena Acheampong, Ashanti Regional manager of MSI Reproductive Choice, led a session on STIs and their prevention, collaborating with the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to provide condoms for distribution.
Essential items such as clothes, shoes, bags, and sanitary towels were distributed, offering crucial support to those in need.
The act of giving not only addressed immediate needs but also emphasized the unity and compassion within the community. Additionally, 500 packs of hot meals brought joy to the children, while goody bags spread cheer among the elderly.
The impact of KPN GIVE BACK 2023 extended beyond Kwahu – Ankomah, as medications were donated to clinics and a CHP compound in Kwahu-Bepong, ensuring quality healthcare resources.
The success of KPN GIVE BACK 2023 reflects the dedication of KPN members, sponsors, and volunteers, showcasing the positive change achievable through collective efforts.
The philanthropic project exemplifies the profound impact of collaborative initiatives and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of communities.
