Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum Narteh made several changes in his squad that faced Legon with Fabio Gama dropping to the bench, whilst midfielder Richard Boadu ‘Agadas' was left out of the squad due to suspension and his place was taken up by Mudasiru Salifu.

But it was the Cameroonian striker Etuoga Mbella Frank Thierry who made the difference on the day for the Porcupine Warriors.

He shot Kotoko ahead by the 28th minute after latching onto a flick from his countryman George Mfegue Rodrigues. This was after exchanges between the two sides in the early minutes of the game.

But this did not last as Legon Cities levelled up four minutes later following poor goalkeeping by Razak Abalora. Ahmed Rahman headed home a cross for the equalizer.

Etuoga Mbella scored another goal in the 77th minute after he connected a tailor-measured cross from Stephen Amankonah and also increased his tally to three in the season.

Kotoko would return to to battle Football Academy (WAFA).
