Julius Malema, a South African politician and Pan-Africanist, has extended a warm invitation to Ghanaians to visit South Africa.
Speaking at an event organized by the Arise Ghana Youth movement in Accra, he emphasized the inevitability of the unification of the African continent, urging countries to pursue a borderless society for the free movement of people.
Malema expressed the shared experiences of poverty and commonalities between Ghanaians and South Africans, stating, “When I'm here, I'm at home, when you're in South Africa feel at home.”
He dismissed the notion of South Africans being xenophobic, inviting Ghanaians to study, work, and take holidays in South Africa, asserting, “It is your home too.”
Despite incidents of xenophobic attacks in South Africa, Malema highlighted the peaceful nature of South Africans and reinforced the call for Pan-African unity.
