In an effort to strengthen community bonds and engage with various stakeholders, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is set to embark on a two-day tour of the Volta Region from Thursday, January 11 to Friday, January 12, 2024.
Themed “Building the Ghana we want together,” the tour aims to facilitate interactions with communities, traditional leaders, and the general public.
The tour itinerary, as revealed by the Ghana News Agency (GNA), includes an ‘entry meeting with NDC stakeholders' at Sogakope. Mr. Mahama will proceed to conduct community engagements at Tegbi and Aflao, where he is also scheduled to commission the Ketu North Party office and address a large rally.
On the second day, the former President will pay a courtesy call on the Volta Regional House of Chiefs in Ho. Following this, he will address a townhall meeting at the Ho Technical University.
The tour will conclude at the St Francis College of Education in Hohoe, where Mr. Mahama will participate in a campus connect event. This gathering is expected to include students, teacher unions, and various education stakeholders.
