CARACAS – Venezuela‘s Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello said late Wednesday that 100 people died in the U.S. attack that removed President Nicolás Maduro from power on Saturday.
The Venezuelan government had not previously released a total number of casualties. The army posted a list of 23 dead, while officials said a large part of Maduro’s security team was killed “in cold blood.” Cuba reported 32 of its military and intelligence personnel in Venezuela were also killed.
