Ghana Embassy in Japan discusses healthcare project for northern Ghana hospitals

The Embassy of Ghana in Japan has held discussions with Green Hospital Supply Co., Ltd. and TEC International Inc. on a proposed Japanese Grant Aid-funded medical equipment supply project aimed at improving healthcare delivery in Ghana.

The meeting, which took place at the Ghana Embassy in Tokyo on June 10, 2026, focused on the provision of modern medical equipment, healthcare infrastructure support, and implementation arrangements for selected hospitals in Northern Ghana.

According to the Embassy, the project is expected to strengthen healthcare services in beneficiary hospitals by improving access to essential medical equipment and enhancing healthcare infrastructure.

The discussions formed part of ongoing efforts to deepen cooperation between Ghana and Japan in the health sector and support the delivery of quality healthcare services.

The Embassy welcomed the engagement and reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating partnerships that contribute to the development of Ghana’s healthcare sector.

The proposed project, if implemented, is expected to support healthcare delivery in Northern Ghana and further strengthen bilateral relations between Ghana and Japan.
