The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Ghana’s industrial transformation and the government’s 24-Hour Economy initiative.
The commitment was made when JICA’s Chief Representative in Ghana, Uchiyama Takayuki, paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Sampson Ahi, in Accra on behalf of Sector Minister Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare.

Mr. Uchiyama thanked the Government of Ghana for its longstanding partnership with JICA and reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to supporting industrial growth, improving productivity and advancing the 24-Hour Economy framework.
He said JICA would continue to work with Ghana through technical cooperation and development assistance to promote sustainable economic transformation.
Receiving the delegation, Sampson Ahi reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with development partners to advance trade facilitation, agribusiness development and industrial modernisation.
