Mr John Kwadwo Gyapong, the Oti Regional Minister, has appealed to traditional leaders in Worawora in the Biakoye District for over 70 acres of land to establish a modern STEM education centre in the community.
The Minister said Worawora Senior High School (WORASEC) had demonstrated exceptional performance in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), making it a prime candidate after the Minister of Education announced plans for a STEM secondary school in the Oti Region.

Nana Kwadwo Nyarko, Acting President of WoraWoraman, pledged to release land for the project without any litigation, assuring full cooperation from traditional authorities to advance STEM education in the area.
Meanwhile, Mr Michael Damesi, Headmaster of WORASEC, urged the government to address critical infrastructure challenges, including an abandoned dining hall, an incomplete boys’ dormitory, and a broken bridge leading to the school, which he said compromise students’ health, safety, and academic focus.
The Regional Minister was accompanied by Mr Sullemana Abdul Mumuni, a presidential staffer, Mr Eric Gidisu, Oti Regional Director of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), and his security detail.
