Before the prayers, the group visited the Office of the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu, who prayed for the lawyers and urged them to remain faithful stewards of the legal profession.
The Jubilee celebration is themed: “Redefining Legal Education for Enhanced Democracy for the Next Generation.”
The Millennium Class of 2000 includes distinguished personalities serving in various arms of government and public service, among them are Justice Ernest Gaewu (Supreme Court), Justice Oppong Twumasi (High Court), Justice Ken Kudjordzi (High Court), Alhaji Inusah Fuseini, and Alhaji Ben Abdallah Banda, both notable politicians.
Mr Isaac Acheampong, Chairperson of the Anniversary Planning Committee, described the Silver Jubilee as a time for reflection, gratitude, and mentorship.
“After 25 years in the profession, every milestone is worth celebrating. The inclusion of Jumu’ah prayers and a Thanksgiving service reflects our shared conviction to thank God for our success,” he said.
He added that the class has launched a career and guidance mentorship programme for younger law students, aimed at nurturing the next generation of legal professionals and advocating reforms to strengthen Ghana’s legal education system.
