The visit allowed members to receive updates on the Secretariat’s operations and engage fisherfolk at landing beaches on reforms and challenges in the premix fuel distribution system.
Key issues discussed included fuel supply shortfalls, weak compliance with accountability measures, the use of premix margins by Landing Beach Committees for community development, and smuggling and diversion at some sites.
