The Minister said security officers play an indispensable role in safeguarding national peace, stability and public safety, adding that their sacrifices and dedication cannot be overstated.

He stated that the government remains committed to supporting the security services, noting that a motivated and well-resourced security service is essential for national development.

Hon. Muntaka outlined ongoing government interventions, including the mechanisation of rent allowances, improvement in office and residential accommodation, provision of logistics and operational vehicles, as well as promotions and other welfare-related measures.

He assured personnel that concerns raised during the engagement would be addressed with the necessary attention.

In a separate interaction with non-security agencies under the Ministry, he commended their contributions to public service delivery and reaffirmed efforts to address institutional challenges to improve efficiency and productivity.

The Minister expressed appreciation to the Volta Regional Minister, Regional Commanders and all officers for their cooperation during his tour.

He said the engagements formed part of broader efforts to deepen peace, strengthen social cohesion and address emerging security concerns through inclusive partnerships and nationwide collaboration for sustainable peacebuilding and national development.
