Helicopter tragedy children's support fund records over GH¢10 million and $20,000 in donations

The August 6th Helicopter Tragedy Victims’ Children’s Support Fund has received more than GH¢10 million and $20,000.

In a statement issued by Dr Valerie Sawyerr, Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs and Coordinator of the Fund, a list of donors to the Children’s Support Fund was published for contributions made between 17 October, 2025 and 7 February, 2026. The statement said the publication was to ensure the welfare of the children of the victims of the August 6 helicopter crash.

The donors listed include Ghana Reinsurance, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts (MoTCCA), Vitol Ghana Services Limited, Kenneth Nana Kwame Brown, and Timothy Addai Adivilah Balag’Kutu.

Other contributors named are the Ministry for the Interior, Andra Appenteng, Stay String, Kenneth Brown, Presidential Staffers, Office of the President, Allied Health Professionals, Seth Emanuel, Francis Dodoo, Kosmos Energy Ghana, Padi Keteku, Kenneth Brown, PSC Tema, and Seth Padi Ologo.

The statement said donations may be made to the Fund through Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited accounts at the Stanbic Heights Branch in Accra. The Ghana Cedi (GHS) account number is 9040013628372 and the US Dollar (USD) account number is 9040013628534.

Cheques and bank drafts are to be made payable to “CHILDREN SUPPORT FUND 6825.”

The statement also said mobile money payments can be made through the attached payment platforms.
