Fire Service saves five rooms in Gbawe fire outbreak

The Ghana National Fire Service has contained a domestic fire at Gbawe Gravel Junction, preventing extensive damage.

Firefighters from the Dansoman Fire Station responded to the incident on April 14, 2026, arriving within minutes and bringing the blaze under control before fully extinguishing it within an hour.

Baking utensils and some household items were destroyed, but the team successfully saved five rooms and prevented the fire from spreading.

No injuries were reported, and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
