One dead in road crash at Logba Akutsame

Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) from the Kpando Municipal Fire Station responded to a road traffic crash at Logba Akutsame on Wednesday, May 28, 2026, after receiving a distress call at about 5:00 p.m.

According to the GNFS, the incident involved a Hyundai 14-seater commercial vehicle with registration number GL 118-13 and a motorbike.

The Fire Service said firefighters rescued 11 occupants trapped in the vehicle during the emergency operation.

However, the motorbike rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

The body has since been handed over to the Ghana Police Service for preservation and further investigations.

The GNFS also urged motorists to strictly observe road safety regulations and exercise caution while driving to help reduce road crashes and fatalities.
