Path and InSupply Health have met with the Ministry of Health to introduce the proposed INSPIRE project, which aims to strengthen Ghana’s supply chain for maternal and newborn health commodities.
They requested the Ministry’s input on supply-chain gaps and priorities to inform project development.

The Ministry identified challenges in data management, forecasting, procurement, transportation and sustainable financing, and requested support to address these issues.
Path and InSupply Health stated that the Ministry’s input would help align the project with Ghana’s current supply-chain systems and priorities.
The Deputy Minister for Health, Prof. Dr Grace Ayensu-Danquah, welcomed the proposed project and urged Path and InSupply Health to focus on Ghana’s priority needs, particularly improving the availability of essential maternal and newborn health commodities and equipment at the primary healthcare level to help reduce maternal deaths.
