Speaking at a review meeting held at Adaklu Tsriefe, which brought together stakeholders, including staff of the Adaklu District Health Directorate, nurses, and community volunteers, Mr Atidzah highlighted the remarkable achievements recorded over the past six months.
Volunteers visited 2,213 households on a rotational basis and engaged 9,478 community members through house-to-house education and sensitisation activities. Their interventions contributed to improved environmental cleanliness and increased early testing and treatment of malaria.
He encouraged the volunteers to sustain their commitment and urged Assembly members, chiefs, opinion leaders, and religious leaders to offer them maximum support in their community engagements.
Mr Atidzah reaffirmed the Foundation’s role as an implementing partner of the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP), saying it would continue to advance malaria prevention and elimination strategies through community-based behaviour change communication initiatives.
He assured stakeholders of GOSANET Foundation’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s vision of achieving a malaria-free nation through strong community engagement and continuous collaboration with the Adaklu District Health Directorate and NMEP.
