Ghana and Saint Kitts and Nevis have signed an additional bilateral labour agreement aimed at guaranteeing enhanced conditions of service for Ghanaian nurses working in the Caribbean nation.
Under the agreement, Ghanaian nurses to be sent to Saint Kitts and Nevis will enjoy legally protected enhanced salaries, health insurance, rent allowance, end-of-service benefits and other labour rights.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and the Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Honourable Dr Geoffrey Hanley, signed the agreement on the margins of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The Minister commended Ghanaian professionals for making the country proud around the world, noting that many countries continue to seek their services and expertise.
He said Ghana will continue to pursue impactful diplomacy that benefits the people it serves.
The agreement further strengthens the relations between Ghana and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
