Mr. Francis Abudu Zimmaleh, a chartered accountant, has assumed the position of President of the University of Applied Management (UAM) Ghana Alumni Network, pledging to elevate the network's influence to new heights.

With 27 branches globally, Mr. Zimmaleh's extensive experience in finance and corporate strategy positions him to provide fresh leadership and drive during a time of global challenges.

In his inaugural address in , Mr. Zimmaleh highlighted the importance of adapting to the evolving global landscape, stating, “With digital technology and increasing demand for skilled professionals internationally, my background in finance and corporate strategy will be invaluable in ensuring the network remains relevant and impactful.”

He expressed his commitment to strengthening ties between alumni, the university, and the wider business community in Ghana and beyond.

“We will strengthen networking by organizing alumni networking events to facilitate connections,” he stated. This initiative aims to facilitate knowledge exchange, provide mentorship, and support professional growth among alumni.

Mr. Zimmaleh emphasized his dedication to connecting alumni with industry leaders, creating new opportunities, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the alumni community.

The Principal of UAM Ghana, Prof. Martin Gyambrah, expressed satisfaction with the alumni and urged the new leadership to collaborate closely with the institution to achieve their objectives.

Mr. Ahuma Bosco Ocansey, the former vice president of the Alumni Network, acknowledged the challenges faced during their tenure due to the impact of .

He noted the successful registration of the Alumni Network with the in 2021 and the completion of the network's constitution.

The UAM Ghana Alumni Network serves as a lifelong learning and professional platform for alumni from 27 countries. It aims to provide career development opportunities for members with diverse professional backgrounds.

UAM-Ghana focuses on cultivating international and intercultural abilities through various undergraduate, master's degrees, and doctoral programs in management fields.
