Former President John Dramani Mahama has reiterated the National Democratic Congress's (NDC) dedication to implementing the 24-Hour Economy Policy as a strategic move to create jobs and transform the nation.
Addressing a large crowd of supporters at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi, Mahama emphasized the vision behind the 24-Hour Economy initiative, aiming to provide ample opportunities for the unemployed youth to access jobs easily and build their lives.
“The 24-Hour Economy initiative seeks to create a vibrant and dynamic economic landscape that operates round the clock,” Mahama explained.
He expressed optimism about the initiative leading to increased job opportunities across various sectors, including manufacturing, services, and technology.
Mahama called on the people to support the 24-Hour Economy policy by voting for the NDC in the upcoming elections to enable its implementation.
The walkthrough principal streets in Kumasi served as a platform to communicate the NDC's proposed policies, including the 24-Hour Economy, to the people of the Ashanti Region.
The former president asserted that the NPP had mismanaged the economy, causing Ghanaians to struggle under the weight of numerous taxes.
He expressed confidence that the next NDC government possessed the capability to revive the economy and set it on the right path.
Mahama also highlighted the NDC's contributions to the development of the Ashanti Region, pointing out that major projects such as school infrastructure, roads, Kumasi International Airport, water projects, and hospitals were initiated by the NDC government.
He promised that the next NDC government would continue with more developmental projects.
“The next NDC Government has what it takes to revive the economy and put it on the right path,” Mahama assured the crowd.
