Hon. Abdul-Fatawu Alhassan – Member of Parliament for Yendi

Hon. Abdul-Fatawu Alhassan is the Member of Parliament for Yendi, representing the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Born on November 25, 1982, he hails from Yendi and is a practising Muslim. He is serving his first term in Parliament.

He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Ghana (2024), a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the Ghana School of Law (2019), and another LL.B from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (2017). He also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ghana (2009) and completed his secondary education at Yendi Senior High School in 2004.

Hon. Alhassan has built a strong career in law, administration, and regulatory compliance. He previously served as a Principal Administrative Assistant at the University for Development Studies, a Regulatory Compliance Advisor at Scancom Plc, and the Managing Partner at Fatawu Jofa @ Law.
