“Some of the actors took GH¢2,000, some took GH¢3,000. The entire budget for the production is about 5,000 dollars, which is GH¢60,000,” he revealed.
Explaining the choice of title, Ben South said he wanted something that would spark curiosity and suspense. “I chose the title ‘24′ so people could not easily predict the storyline,” he said, adding that many movie titles tend to give away too much of the plot.
The movie features Maame Serwaa, AJ Brown, and Quecy Official, all of whom have appeared in several Ghanaian short films and digital series.
Ben South, who is best known for his creative skits on YouTube and social media, previously produced the short film Wrong Target, which earned praise for its direction and cinematography.
He hinted that 24 will explore human emotions and moral choices within a single 24-hour period and is expected to premiere later this year.
