Embassy of Lebanon releases statement on mistaken identity of Lebanese Ambassador for Indian sing-a-thon record holder

In response to recent reports mistakenly identifying H.E Mr. Maher Kheir, the Lebanese Ambassador to Ghana, as Mr. Sunil Waghmare, the Indian holder, the Embassy of Lebanon clarifies this error.

Ambassador Kheir attended the event at Akwaaba Village on Thursday, December 28th, 2023, extending his support to Mrs. Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum's record-breaking attempt. The Lebanese Ambassador's presence was a gesture of solidarity, emphasizing the friendly relationship between Lebanon and Ghana.

In a statement, His Excellency Mr Maher Kheir congratulated Mrs Aduonum on her official attempt at the current record, highlighting her achievement as an inspiration that showcases the power of dedication and perseverance.

The Embassy expresses appreciation for the attention of all Ghanaian media houses to this correction and emphasizes the commitment to maintaining and strengthening the strong relationship between Lebanon and Ghana.
