Accra, Ghana – Cuban Vice President, Mr Salvador Valdes Mesa, visited Parliament House in Accra as part of his three-day official visit to Ghana.
The meeting aimed to strengthen the longstanding friendship between the two nations.
The Cuban Vice President acknowledged Ghana's unwavering support for Cuba over the years and commended both past and present Ghanaian leaders for their commitment to the Cuban cause.
During the visit, Mr. Valdes Mesa emphasized the importance of deepening the bond of friendship between Cuba and Ghana. He praised Ghana for its historical solidarity with Cuba during critical moments.
In response, Speaker Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin welcomed the Cuban Vice President, highlighting the necessity for both countries to collaborate closely, especially in the face of efforts by major superpowers to shape a new world order.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business in Parliament, and Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, the Minority Leader.
