The Ghana Police Service has forwarded a duplicate docket of the murdered Immigration Officer, Stephen King Amoah, to the Office of the Attorney General for legal advice, sources indicate. Police and the court are now awaiting the Attorney General’s guidance before proceedings can continue.
Meanwhile, the case involving the suspects, Bright Aweh, also known as Highest Bright, and Thomas Zigah, has been adjourned to December 3, 2025. The Adabraka District Court did not sit on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, prompting the adjournment.

The accused, brought under heavy security, were taken away after the next date was set.
Aweh and Zigah, represented by lawyers, have reserved their pleas despite being charged with conspiracy to murder and murder.
The murder investigation stems from July 3, 2025, when Amoah went missing after leaving his home to meet Aweh at Ashongman Estates. His body was later discovered in a drain at Abom Junction.
Investigations revealed that the meeting was arranged following WhatsApp exchanges involving images of cash, allegedly to settle a debt. Aweh claimed he had given Amoah GHC500,000 to pay off a debt and retain the balance, but inconsistencies in his account raised suspicion.
Aweh was initially charged with kidnapping and later arrested for murder after police discovered a bloodstained camouflage fabric and a fufu pestle wrapped in polythene at his residence.
Zigah was apprehended after weeks of investigation. Both suspects now face charges of conspiracy to murder and murder, with the case pending further legal guidance.
