During a search of his residence, police discovered quantities of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp hidden in a bag concealed in the ceiling of his bathroom.

The statement, made available to the Regional Police in Sunyani, said the suspect later led police to an uncompleted building near his home, where a Makarov pistol and four rounds of 7.62x17mm ammunition were retrieved.

The police explained that the operation formed part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on criminal activities in the region, adding that the suspect would be arraigned before the court in due course.
