The Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Justice , has taken decisive action against Circuit Court Judge Alfred Kwabena Asiedu following allegations of inappropriate conduct in a divorce case.

The judge has been removed from the Judicial Service, as revealed in a letter from the Chief Justice.

The dismissal stems from a petition filed by Singari Diana Sadia on January 16, accusing Judge Asiedu of abuse of power, sexual exploitation, malicious prosecution, and impropriety.

The petition triggered an investigation by the disciplinary committee of the Judiciary Service, leading to the recommendation of the judge's removal based on misconduct.

“In accordance with article 151 (1) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, all members of the Judicial Council present at the said meeting resolved that you should be removed from office for Stated Misbehaviour,” the letter stated.
