# MTN Ghana delegation visits Trade Ministry The Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to working with the private sector to strengthen the growth and competitiveness of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ghana. She gave the assurance when a delegation from MTN Ghana paid a courtesy call on her at the Ministry in Accra on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. The MTN Ghana delegation was led by the company's Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer, Adwoa Wiafe. Discussions focused on opportunities for collaboration to support MSME development, promote entrepreneurship and explore areas of mutual interest aimed at driving economic growth. The meeting also considered initiatives that would leverage MTN Ghana's expertise and corporate social investment programmes to complement the government's efforts to strengthen the MSME sector. Responding to the proposals, the Minister thanked MTN Ghana for the visit and its willingness to partner with the Ministry to advance Ghana's industrialisation and enterprise development agenda. She said the Ministry would identify priority areas where collaboration would have the greatest impact, particularly in helping small businesses become more competitive and sustainable. The Minister also stressed the importance of working closely with the Ghana Enterprises Agency to expand opportunities for entrepreneurs through skills development, start-up support and seed funding. She expressed confidence that stronger collaboration between the Ministry and MTN Ghana would help empower entrepreneurs, promote innovation and accelerate private sector-led economic development in Ghana.
