The Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Hiroshi Yoshimoto, has paid a courtesy call on the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry ahead of the Ghana–Japan Business and Investment Forum scheduled for January 15, 2026.
The visit forms part of preparations for the expected arrival of a 40-member Japanese business delegation to Ghana from Wednesday, January 14 to Friday, January 16, 2026.

The meeting, held at the ministry’s conference room in Accra on January 7, focused on assessing Ghana’s readiness to receive the high-level delegation. Discussions also reviewed key areas of cooperation and the institutional arrangements needed to ensure a successful forum and productive engagements during the visit.
The Chief Director of the ministry, Mr Noah Tumfo, who received the ambassador on behalf of the sector minister, expressed appreciation to the Japanese envoy and assured him of the ministry’s readiness to work closely with its Japanese counterparts to ensure a smooth and successful visit.
Beyond the Business and Investment Forum, the Japanese delegation is expected to hold bilateral meetings with stakeholders in key sectors of the Ghanaian economy, including trade, agribusiness, transportation, energy, logistics and communications.
The engagements are aimed at strengthening economic relations between Ghana and Japan and exploring new investment and partnership opportunities.
