She noted that Ghana’s participation in the FIFA World Cup 2026 will serve as a platform to project the country not only as a football nation, but also as a competitive source of high-quality products, innovation, and enterprise.

According to her, the Made-in-Ghana Expo, scheduled for 22 to 23 June 2026 in Boston, will create direct market opportunities for Ghanaian businesses by connecting them with international buyers, investors, and the Ghanaian diaspora.

Hon. Ofosu-Adjare highlighted the strength and diversity of Ghana’s export sector, pointing to opportunities in textiles, agro-processing, natural beauty products, and digital innovation.

She explained that the initiative aligns with government’s broader vision of promoting non-traditional exports, supporting local industries, and driving sustainable economic growth through international trade.

The Minister further assured stakeholders of the Ministry’s continued support in facilitating market access for Ghanaian enterprises and ensuring that the Expo results in lasting business partnerships and tangible export gains.

She also commended LITINA Travel and Tour for leading the initiative, describing it as an innovative blend of trade promotion, diaspora engagement, and economic diplomacy.

Hon. Ofosu-Adjare urged Ghanaian businesses to take advantage of the opportunity and position themselves for global competitiveness, noting that the FIFA World Cup offers more than sport, but also a major platform for expanding Ghana’s international commercial presence.

Stakeholders at the event, including representatives of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), welcomed the initiative and described it as a strong platform to promote Ghanaian products and strengthen the country’s position in the global marketplace.
