Ghana Hubs Network holds annual general meeting in Takoradi

The Ghana Hubs Network recently convened its Annual General Meeting in , under the theme “Connecting Innovation Hubs for Collective Growth,” in collaboration with partners and the National Innovation Plan (NEIP).

The meeting served as a platform for entrepreneurs and hubs within the network, including Duapa Werkspace, ICODE, and Social Hub (SE-HuB), to reflect on past achievements, address challenges, and strategize for future growth.

Mr. Josiah Kwesi Eyison, Chairperson of the Ghana Hubs Network, applauded the network's accomplishments and emphasized the importance of hub connectivity for fostering innovation and ecosystem growth. He encouraged hub managers and youth entrepreneurs to embrace modern technologies like (AI) to enhance innovative skills and businesses.

Eyison paid tribute to the late Nana Komfo Amo II, CEO of ICODE, for his significant contributions to the network's activities.

Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun, Vice Chancellor of (TTU), commended the network for its achievements, highlighting the pivotal role of technical ecosystems in fostering digital skill development and emphasizing the importance of education.

Madam Barbara Onyejose, Speaker for the conference and Mentorship and Academy Lead for VC4A Startup Academy, underscored the significance of mentorship in nurturing startup businesses. She emphasized the role of mentors in shaping and fostering business growth, urging entrepreneurs to prioritize mentorship for success.

The meeting delved into various themes including “Emerging Technologies: Tackling Wicked Problems Where Innovations Meet Social Impacts,” “Empowering Communities Through Innovation,” and “How Hubs Cultivate Solutions for Local Challenges.” These discussions aimed to stimulate ideas and strategies for addressing contemporary challenges and fostering innovation within the Ghanaian ecosystem.

Overall, the Annual General Meeting served as a catalyst for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and collective action among members of the Ghana Hubs Network, fostering a conducive environment for innovation and entrepreneurial growth in the country.
