Ceiling collapse at Circuit Court in Accra after rainstorm

During a downpour in on Tuesday, the ceiling of Circuit Court ‘8' collapsed, resulting in damage to the courtroom and some electrical wiring. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as there was no court sitting at the time of the incident.

According to an anonymous worker, the court was not in session because the trial judge was on leave, and the collapse occurred unexpectedly. Upon arrival at the scene, the (GNA) observed the courtroom filled with debris, but thankfully, no individuals were harmed.

In addition to the courtroom incident, a large signpost in front of the Ministries Police Station also collapsed, obstructing the road for commuters. National Disaster Management Organization () officials were promptly dispatched to the scene to dismantle the metalwork and ensure the free flow of traffic.
