Commonwealth of Dominica reaffirms support for Morocco's territorial integrity

The of has reiterated its backing for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Kingdom of , including its territory in the Moroccan Sahara. This affirmation came during talks between Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, and Vince Henderson, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business, Trade, and Energy of the of , as detailed in a Joint Communiqué.

Henderson reaffirmed his country's support for the Autonomy Plan proposed by in 2007 as the most credible, serious, and realistic solution to address the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara. He commended the ' efforts as the appropriate platform for achieving a practical and lasting resolution to this regional conflict.

As a member of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), the Commonwealth of Dominica welcomed the establishment of an OECS Embassy in Rabat on October 18, 2018, and a Consulate General in Dakhla on March 31, 2022. These developments are viewed as significant opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation between Morocco and the six Eastern Caribbean States, as highlighted in the Joint Communiqué.
