Efforts underway to address power outages - Majority Leader

Mr. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, the Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business, reassured Ghanaians on Friday that efforts are being made to ensure uninterrupted power supply amidst current outages.

Acknowledging the challenges posed by the intermittent power cuts to industries and citizens, Mr. Afenyo-Markin emphasized that the energy sector is actively working to minimize these disruptions. He made these remarks during a “Setting the Facts Right Press Conference” held at the House.

Reflecting on the government's response to the power supply challenges, Mr. Afenyo-Markin highlighted the resilience shown during difficult times, particularly in 2020 and 2021 amid the pandemic and economic downturn. He emphasized that despite these challenges, the government successfully maintained a steady power supply.
