We will come after anyone who makes inciting comments ahead of elections – Interior Minister

During a visit to the Headquarters, Interior Minister cautioned citizens, especially users, against making inciting comments in the lead-up to the December elections. He emphasized that such actions would be met with legal consequences, with the police actively pursuing those who spread fear and panic.

Quartey commended the police for their professionalism, which has contributed to reducing Ghana's crime rate. He assured that security agencies would not interfere in the electoral process but would ensure it is free, fair, and transparent.

The Minister highlighted government efforts to bolster the police force, including increasing staff strength, providing equipment, and enhancing training in high-risk operations. He also acknowledged the contributions of his predecessor, , and pledged to continue building on past achievements.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. expressed gratitude for government support and reiterated the police's commitment to maintaining peace in Ghana. He thanked Vice President Dr. and former Minister for their backing and acknowledged the sacrifices of police personnel.
