Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has asserted the party's unwavering resolve to secure victory in the upcoming December polls by ‘hook or crock'.
Mustapha's remarks mirror similar sentiments expressed by Bryan Acheampong, the Member of Parliament for Abetifi, who emphasized the NPP's determination to retain power and prevent the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) from assuming control.
Speaking in an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Point Blank on Eyewitness News, Mustapha reiterated the stance articulated by the Minister of Agriculture, affirming the party's commitment to winning through diligent effort. He contrasted the NPP's proactive approach with what he characterized as the NDC's lackadaisical attitude.
Citing economic indicators such as inflation rates and the anticipated decline in prices of goods and services, Mustapha expressed confidence in the NPP's electoral prospects. He criticized the NDC as a “lazy party” incapable of executing fundamental tasks like collating election results.
Asserting the NPP's dedication to hard work and electoral success, Mustapha underscored the party's intention to secure victory through diligent campaigning and effective governance.
While acknowledging that his statement about winning “by hook or crook” may be subject to interpretation, Mustapha clarified that it signifies the NPP's commitment to exerting maximum effort to secure victory rather than resorting to unethical means.
