Enchi Government Hospital records four deliveries during Easter

During the Easter weekend, the Enchi Government Hospital in the Aowin Municipality of the Region celebrated the arrival of four newborns, including a set of twins. The births, occurring between Good Friday and Easter Sunday, comprised four females and one male, bringing joy to families during the holiday season.

A midwife at the hospital, Madam Nancy Yaa Anima, reported that three out of the four births were delivered through caesarean section, including the set of twins, while one birth occurred naturally. Despite the different delivery methods, all mothers and babies were reported to be in good health.

Madam Anima emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy, balanced diet during pregnancy to prevent anemia, a common concern among expectant mothers attending the facility. She stressed that a nutritious diet not only benefits the mother but also provides essential nutrients for the developing baby in the womb.

Expressing gratitude to God for safe deliveries during the Easter period, the mothers encouraged other expectant mothers to attend antenatal clinics regularly to ensure their own safety and that of their babies. Their positive experiences underscored the importance of prenatal care in promoting safe childbirth outcomes.

Meanwhile, at the Presbyterian Health Services in New Denkyeria, no births were recorded over the Easter season. Madam Eunice Fobi, a midwife at the facility, urged pregnant women to promptly seek assistance from healthcare providers whenever they needed support or medical attention.
