The Volta North Regional Police Command is in mourning following the tragic discovery of the lifeless body of its Deputy Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Antiri-Addo Nicolas Aletso, at a hotel in Hohoe.
According to reports, ACP Antiri-Addo's body was found on Wednesday, sending shockwaves through the police force and the community. While investigations into the incident have commenced, initial findings suggest no foul play at this stage.
Police sources revealed that ACP Antiri-Addo's body was discovered in a lateral position, prompting concerns from relatives who had been unable to reach him by phone. It was later revealed that he had been residing at the hotel as his place of abode for about a month.
The sudden and unexpected loss of ACP Antiri-Addo has left the police command and the wider community in grief. A seasoned officer, he previously served as the Agona Swedru Divisional Commander of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service.
As investigations continue, ACP Antiri-Addo's body has been transferred to the Police Hospital morgue for autopsy. The police force mourns the loss of a dedicated and respected leader, and extends its condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
